Born August 11, 1922 in the Florin community of Sacramento County, California. Passed away February 16, 2014 in Sacra- mento. Preceded in death by his beloved wife Anna Stanich Buljan who passed away in 2001, and his brother & partner Steve J. Buljan who passed away in 2012. Survived by his sister-in-law Patricia Buljan, nephew Bruce Buljan, niece Stacy Kunde, great nephews Kash Kunde & Bronson Buljan, many cousins, and a galaxy of dear friends who lament his passing. He graduated from Elk Grove High School in 1940 where he was an outstanding athlete in football and baseball. During W W 2, he served with distinction in the Pacific Theater with the U.S. Army, rising to the rank of Technician Third Grade (Staff Sergeant T/3). For many years he farmed and raised cattle with his brother Steve on their farm in the Florin area. He was a civic minded man who served as President of The American Slavic Social Club and The Florin Historical Society. A rosary will be conducted Sunday, February 23, 5:00PM and the funeral service on Monday, February 24, 11:00 AM, followed by a reception. All to be held at Herbergers Funeral Chapel (9101 Elk Grove Blvd., Elk Grove, CA).
