Funeral services will take place Friday, Feb. 14 for Roger Johnston of Galt who died Feb. 5, 2014 after a long illness. He was 54.
Mr. Johnston grew up in Elk Grove, graduating from Elk Grove High School in 1977 where he was a member of the swim team. He worked at Elk Grove Meat Co. until it closed, and then drove a garbage truck for BFI.
He is survived by his children, Amee, Carri and Gage; his mother Erva Johnston; brothers Larry, Leonard and Phillip; and sister Judy Johnston-Lange.
Friday’s services begin at 9:30 a.m. at Herberger’s Elk Grove Funeral Chapel, 9101 Elk Grove Blvd. Interment follows at Pleasant Grove Cemetery on Pleasant Grove School Road. - Information from the Elk Grove Citzen
