About	Steven Tami Takehara passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at his home in Sacramento at the age of 65. He was born in Sacramento, CA on May 10, 1948 to the late Paul and Miyeko "Emmie" Takehara. After graduating from Elk Grove High School in 1966, Steve attended Sacramento City College. He then began a career in men's clothing and formalwear. When he decided to hang up his "tie" he changed careers into landscape where he continued to express his creativity and later retired. Steve is survived by his daughters, Kimberly Bean and her husband, Derek of El Dorado Hills and Nicole Martucci and her husband, Michael of Sacramento; sister Paula Suzuki and her husband Tom of Aptos and sister-in-law Janet Takehara of Sacramento. He was blessed with two grandchildren, Isaac and Katelyn Bean. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmie in 1998 and Paul in 1999. Steve was also preceded in death by his loving brother Jerry in 2012. A service will be held Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 11:00 am at Sacramento Japanese United Methodist Church, 6929 Franklin Blvd., Sacramento. A reception will immediately follow.
