A letter to family and friends from Elsie: Dear Friends and Family, "Bus" left us to be in his "new home," but he would want you all to know much he thought of you when he was here. He was not a talkative person and choose to express his feelings in his actions and deeds. The greatest compliment he could receive was when he knew you were his friend. I am so grateful for him! He was such a good father, role-model, and companion for more than 65 years. His children were always at his side, and given the opportunity, he often was a bit braggadocios about them.---God has been good to us! "Bus" would want me to thank you for your friendship and I would like to say it too! With love, Elsie FISHERMAN'S PRAYER I pray that I may live to fish Until my dying day. And when it comes to my last cast, I than most humbly pray: When in the Lord's great landing net And peacefully sleep That in his mercy I be judged Big enough to keep. |
