Doris and Wayne were wonderful parents! They deeply loved each other and the four children they raised: Michael, David, Jonathan, and Jennifer. They loved the ocean and the mountains, and the family enjoyed camping at both. They encouraged the children's participation in activities of their choice which included basketball, motocross, NASCAR racing etc. Doris' love of her family also led her into photography, genealogy, and having a yearly vegetable garden after they moved to Meadow Vista in 1971. After the children were grown, Doris worked for Continental Insurance until Wayne and she retired and moved to the North Carolina coast. In Dec. 2000, they returned to Foresthill. After Wayne passed away in 2001, Doris lived with her daughter, Jenny, in Columbus, NC and near her sons, Jon and David in Foresthill. Doris was an especially warm, generous, genuine, loving person. She will always be loved and deeply missed by her family and many friends! A celebration of her life will be held on Sun.
