About	A celebration of the life of Evan Simpson who lost a 14-month battle with cancer Dec. 5, 2012, will take place Monday, Dec. 17. Mr. Simpson was 52. He was born Aug. 2, 1960 to Henry and Veronica Simpson of Wilton and attended Elk Grove High School, class of 1978. Mr. Simpson was a woodworker and owner of The Wood Doctor in Anchorage, Alaska, where he was a resident for 20-plus years. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and nature, and was known as “Ick” to his friends. Besides his parents Mr. Simpson is survived by his daughter Jennifer Simpson; siblings Jeff (Lori) and Michele Williams (Chuck); and nieces and nephews Jay, Samantha, Cynthia, Charles and Caitlyn. His family said that he discovered Jesus late in life and remembrances should be telling people in his honor that “Jesus is real and He loves them.” Services were private. Monday’s celebration will be from 1 to 4 p.m. at his parents’ home in Wilton.
