About	Ron (23) died in a highway accident in Maryland in 1971. State police said Ron was killed and Michael J. Watkins, 22, was injured when their foreign car crashed head on with a tractor-trailor in Frederick, Maryland on a Friday. Both men were thrown from the car which burned, police said. Watkins, from Eau Claire, Wisconsin, was taken to Fort Detrick Army Hospital in fair condition. Ron enlisted in the Army in 1968 and was stationed at Fort Lee, Virginia at the time of the accident.
