About	Year of Graduation unknown (2011?) Memorial services will take place Friday, May 11 for Joseph Oropesa of Elk Grove who died tragically May 6, 2012 at the age of 19. Mr. Oropesa was born Jan. 29, 1993 in Sacramento and grew up in Elk Grove, attending local schools including Joseph Kerr Middle and Elk Grove High schools. He had just begun a job at Cottage Bakery in Lodi at the time of his death. "Joseph always had a smile," his father said. "He had lots of energy, loved to ride his bike, and was just taken too soon." Mr. Oropesa is survived by his parents, Fred and Jennifer Oropesa of Elk Grove; brothers Jonathan and Elijah; sisters Alex and Julia; girlfriend Roni Orozco and son Jace; grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. There will be a viewing and memory slide show from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Friday followed by the service at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Vintage Park Drive at Elk Grove-Florin Road. A memorial fund in Joseph Oropesa's name has been set up at Wells Fargo Bank, corner of Elk Grove-Florin and Bond roads. - Information from the Elk Grove Citizen and Sacramento Bee
