David, 24, was born in Sacramento, California on April 2, 1987 and grew up in Wilton, attended Wilton and Victory Christian schools, and Elk Grove High School. At the time of his death he was working as a pharmacy clerk in West Sacramento.
He was preceded in death by his brother Brian, maternal grandparents Lt. Col Wendell and Betty Jo Steele, aunt Teresa Drake Sellers, and cousin Cory Welch.
He is survived by his mother Patricia, and brother and sister, Seth and Melanie Mugleston all of Wilton: his father Craig Mugleston of Placerville: paternal grandparents Howard and Barbara Mugleston: and many cousins, aunts, and uncles.
His family said that he was light and joy of so many who loved him. "To him a stranger was just someone he had not yet met."
