About	EGHS year of graduatuion unknown (2007?) Ashley (21) died with her husband Chris in an auto accident. She was born in Sacramento, California on November 2, 1990 and grew up in Elk Grove, graduatuing from Elk Grove High School where she recieved one of the Castello Family scholarships through the Elk Grove Community Foundation. At the time of her death she was taking on line courses through the Academy of Arts in San Francisco and studying Interior Design in addition to working two jobs. She was employeed by WDS as a demonstrator and Kendal as a floral merchandiser, both on site at Costco where she meet Cris, an employeee of Costco. Her family and friends said how very much they miss her, and they and Chris' family extend their thanks to Costco, WDS, Kendal, and their employees, also many friends who have helped during this time. Ashley is survived by her mother Maryann Polhemus-Simpson, her father Matthew Simpson, half brother Gregg Simpson, half sister Kristine Hablicek, stepbrothers Jim and Bill Gaffney, stepsister Dawn Gaffney, stepson Michael Ragosa, two grandmothers, two uncles, several cousins, nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her dog Oso. Ashley's family said she new the importance of donating blood and had regularly donated since the age of 16. They ask that those wishing to remember her consider a blood donation to the Sacramento Blood Bank. Services took place January 22.
