About	Gene passed away from heart disease in 1992 and last lived in Galt. He was married twice and has two sons and a daughter who have their own children. Gene, like his older brother Joe (1968) had a career with the federal government and the National Guard, attaining the rank of Captain. Gene attended college and various military schools and also graduated from their fathers beloved California Military Academy. He leaves behind his wonderful mother Lucy and all his EGHS siblings: Joe (1968) and wife Viola Younger (1967), Lucinda (1969) and husband Jimmie Diggs (1967), Anna (1971) and husband Loren Kammerer (1968), Martin (1977) and wife Nola Flowers, and Anita (1987) and husband Eric Aarnio.
