About	EGHS year of graduation unknown (1980?) A lifelong resident passed away at the age of 36. Peter was born on August 12, 1962 in Elk Grove and became self-employed on the family dairy in Elk Grove, in which he had been involved in since the age of 18. When not working, he enjoyed both water and snow skiing, boating, and playing darts. He is survived by his wife, Shawn, daughter, Jennifer and parents, John and Annie Jacobs, all of Elk Grove. Peter was the brother of Leonard Jacobs and Jaque Jacobs of Elk Grove, John Jacobs, Jr. of Fresno, California and Rita Coyne of Lodi. He is also survived by a niece, nephew and many friends. Visitation was Friday October 23, 2011 from 10:00am-5:00pm at Ben Salas Funeral home on 4th Street in Galt. A Rosary was recited at 6:30 pm at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 9961 Elk Grove-Florin Road in Elk Grove and Msgr, Albert O'Conner officiated at the Mass Saturday, October 24, 2011 at 10:00am at the church. Interment was held at the Galt Cemetery.
