About	Reta passed away peacefully in her childhood home in Florin, California at the age of 66. She was born on August 28, 1944 to Dewey Sr. and Reta M. Shay. She was a life long resident of Florin and graduated form Elk Grove High School in 1962. She and first husband, LeRoy Joerger, owned and operated Florin Automotive Repair for 40 years. Reta also served as historian for the Florin Historical Society and as commissioner of the Sacramento County Cemetary Board. She never met a stranger. Her generosity and capacity to love knew no boundries. She was passionate about children, family, friends, animals, gardening, cooking, reading, dancing, and music. Reta lived her life "One day at a time." for the last 25 years. Reta was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Dewey Jr. and W. R. "Pinky." Survived by her husband of 14 years Charles Silva, daughters Lorena (John), Leah, and Sheryl, son Steve, grandson David (Linae), granddaughters Ashley, Erin and Joey, great-grandson Landon, step-daughters Charlise and Chana (Joe), step-grandsons James and Jacob, sister Louise and brother Willard "Bill." Family and friends were invited to a celebration of her life at Sacramento Memorial Lawn, 6100 Stockton Blvd., on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 1:00pm.
