About	Annie (47) Fales of Elk Grove had a tragic accident in the ocean while visiting with her mother in Mazatlan, Mexico. She was born June 15, 1963 and grew up in Elk Grove, graduating from Elk Grove High School in 1981. Her career included that of a chef at Marshall Hospital and several residential care homes. At the time of her death she was a student at DeVry University. Annie was preceeded in death by her father, Jim Fales, a long time and favorite EGHS teacher and her dog Zoe. She is survived by her mother Nula Fales of Elk Grove; daughters Mallerie Niemann of Sacramento and Kylie Niemann of Elk Grove; sisters Lisa Iliff and husband Mike of Wilton and Susan Peruzzi and husband Renato of Sacramento; brother Jimmy Fales and wife Kalli of La Jolla; and five nephews. A celebration of Annie's life was held on Saturday, April 23 at 1:00pm at the Senior Center of Elk Grove, 8830 Sharkey Avenue.
