About	Ted was a long time resident of Elk Grove who was born in 1924 in South Dakota to Phillip and Rosina Litz. He came to Elk Grove in 1937. He was one of six children, five boys and one girl, and all five boys served in the military during World War II. Ted was a corporal in the U.S. Air Force and served in England, France, and Germany. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, LaVelle Litz; and two brothers. He is survivied by his children, Diana Lake and husband Gary, Mona Barrows and husband John, and Stephen Litz; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Elsie Bieber, John (EGHS '42) and Roland (EGHS '45) Litz. Services were held on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 11:00am at the Elk Grove District Cemetary and was followed by a memorial sevice at noon at St. Peter's LutheranChurch, 8701 Elk Grove-Florin road.
