About	Gary, 66, passed away after a long battle with cancer. Gary is survived by his wife Rosalie, his parents Twyla and Steferino, his brother Rick and wife Diane, and his sister Connie and husband Tom. He also leaves behind two sons, Rodney and David, from a previous marriage, and two grandchildren, David Michael and Anthony. Gary was born in 1944 in Muscatine, Iowa and moved with his parents to California in 1945. He grew up and graduated from Elk Grove High School in 1961. In 1963 he graduated from airborne training, Class 17, 43rd Company at Fort Benning, Georgia. He was an original member of the 1st Brigade, 101st Airborne Division, and Screaming Eagles at Fort Campbell, Kentucky and in Vietnam "Charlie" Co., 2nd BN 327th. He was awarded a Purple Heart and was a 100% disabled veteran He returned to school in the late 1980's, earned a degree in computer Sciences, and began a new career as a fingerprint expert for the Department of Justice.
