About	Walter, 73, was born on August 9, 1937 to John and Viola Strickland. Loving husband of Diana for 53 years. Loving father of Karan, Jerry and Laurie, Walter and Linda. Devoted grandfather of Jay and Marsha Jespen, Melissa Jespen and Reggie DeGuzman, Charles and Nicole Jespen and Andrew Strickland. Great-grandfather to three. Brother of June Timmons, sisters-in-law Pat and Barbara Strickland, Judette and Glen Ripptoe. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceded in death by his parents John and Viola, his sister Doris and Carlton DeSouza, brother-in-law Jim Timmons, brothers Joe and Dan, in-laws Vivian and Jerry Kara. Graduated from Elk Grove High School. A member of Chickasaw Nation, El Dorado Lodge # 8 IOOF, and Florin Rebekah Lodge #20. A special thank you to Original Perry's/ Mr. Perry's for your special service. Friends were invited to attend a viewing on Tuesday, January 11, 2011, from 4:00-7:00 pm and services on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at 1:00 pm both at Harry A. Nauman & Son, 4041 Freeport Blvd., Sacramento. Internment followed at the Odd Fellows Lawn Cemetery and Mausoleum, 2720 Riverside Blvd., Sacramento. Remembrances in Walt's name may be made to the Huntington's Disease Society, Sacramento branch.
