Larry (63), who was known to his family and friends as "Big Boy," was born on March 16, 1947 and had lived in Elk Grove for more than 50 years. He worked for Mitchell's Body Shop in Elk Grove for many years and then went in to commercial fishing. He also drove race cars and enjoyed camping, cooking and hunting as well as fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Adrian and Freida Stevens. He is survived by longtime companion Linda Fitzgearld; daughters Nicole Stevens (Mark) and Sarah Fitzgearld (Greg); grandchildren Zackery and Zoe; brothers Dan Stevens, Mark Stevens and wife Geri; nephew Eric Stevens and nieces Summer and Samantha Stevens, all of Elk Grove.
Friends and family were invited to the celebration of Larry's life that began at 1:00 pm on Sunday, November 7th at the Elk Grove Elks Lodge, 9240 Survey Road, Elk Grove, California. - Information from the Elk Grove Citizen
