About	Long time Elk Grove resident and business owner, Mike Pasqual died at the age of 47. He was a staunch supporter and volunteer for the Elk Grove Junior Thundering Herd. "We could not have asked for a better parent to be part of our organization," said William Acuna, Junior Herd President. "Mike was a regular volunteer, working the flags at many games, or doing whatever was asked of him. During practices Mike was the big fellow with a bag of sunflower seeds to share with everyone. He seldom sat still and was always walking around, talking about the practice, his kids, or prospects for the game. Mike was born January 4, 1963 and grew up in the Sacramento area, moving to Elk Grove in 1976. He attended Elk Grove High School and went on to build a carpet cleaning business here, Pasqual's Carpet Care. Local restate agents Marilyn Dare and Sharon Grant said, "Mike was a joy to know and work with. He could be counted on when he was needed. He made light of hard jobs." He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Pasqual. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Nancy; children Nicholas, Rebecca, and Joseph; mother and step-father Linda and Jerry Bartels: sister Sherry Biggs; nephew Mickey; niece Nichole; grandmother Leslie Bartels; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Services were held September 10 at noon at the First Church of God, 4400 58th Street in Sacramento and was followed by a reception.
