Graduation Year Class of 1966
Date of Passing Jul 23, 2010
About Ace was a loving husband to Teresita, a great father to his sons David and Michael, and a wonderful grandfather to Lanessa, Leianna, DJ, and Lana. We will all miss him very much.
Born July 19, 1948 he passed away far too soon at the age of 62. A second generation of Filipino-American, Ace lived his whole on the family land at the end of Caselman Road in South Sacramento. He was a happy and easy going man who had open arms to anyone that came to his house. He was kind to strangers and strived to make life better for those around him.
Ace was a Vietnam Veteran, a carpenter, and a jack-of-all trades. He loved to golf, sail, fish, and enjoyed the outdoors. He was responsible for many family adventures and gatherings, always reminding us to pray to Jesus to protect us wherever we went. Ace was a spiritual man who inspired many into finding faith back to God. He has touched the lives of those fortunate enough to have known him. We will always remember him as a positive, loving, generous man and a cherished citizen of Sacramento.
On July 30 a viewing was held at 10:30am and followed by a memorial service at 1:00pm at the East Lawn Memorial Park and Mortuary located at 9198 East Stockton Blvd., Elk Grove, California. The service was officiated by Dr. Vic Louis Arreola III and Eulogy's were given by sons David and Michael and good friend George Kawakami. A Gun Salute/Tapping/Flag Folding and presentation were done by Mike Poss and Gary Fox of VFW Post for his meritorious service. A traditional celebration of Ace's life, attended by family and friends, continued at the family home on Caselman Road following the Memorial Service.
