Many friends and family gathered after hearing of the death of their beloved classmate and friend. Marcus, 20, was found in a near by park with what appears to be of a self inflicted death. His death shocked everyone he knew, said his father, Bernard Rondez, 45. "He's left everyone guessing why,"
He was one of six children born to Bernard and Pam Rondez and raised in Elk Grove. He was a record breaking high school running back and Bee All-Metro player in 2007 for the Elk Grove High School. He worked at Jiffy Lube and helped coach the Junior Elk Grove Thundering Herd football teams. The American River College student had recently decided to join the military. A Memorial Service was held at the First Baptist Church, 8939 East Stockton Blvd., Elk Grove, California.
