About	Mr. Franusich, 87, was a pharmacist for more than 50 years, with 30 of those years at the UC Davis Medical Center. He was born August 27, 1922 in San Francisco to Nicholas and Mary Franusich, and at the age of 7, moved with the family to a ranch on Bradshaw Road. He graduated from Elk Grove High School and received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of California at Berkeley. Mr. Franusich served with the Army Air Corps during World War II as a medic in the European Theater, with the rank of Sargent. After working in the pharmacy all day, he would come home and build violins, boats, and structures, his son said. He was also a ham radio fan. He was a parishioner of St. Rose's Catholic Church and St. Stephen's Catholic Church, and a member of the Elk Grove Chapter of Widowed Persons Association. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Ida (Loretz). He is survived by his sons, Paul Frank Franusich and wife Michelle of Franklin and Dr. Mark Peter Franusich and wife Linda of Cresent City; grandchildren Elaina, Nicholas, Timothy, Jerry, Rusty, and Dan; brother Peter Franusich and wife Jane of Los Gatos; and several nieces and nephews. A rosary was held on the previous night of the Mass held at St. Rose's Catholic Church on Franklin Blvd with internment to follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
