About THIS IS AN ADJUNT TO GARY'S SUBMISSION:

Bryan had recently been promoted and earned the Bronze Star.

On May 10, 2010 at the Elk Grove High School a ceremony was held to honor Bryan and fellow veteran, Joe Nurre, by the Fallen Warriors Veterans Memorial Committee. The group works to preserve the memory of late soldiers at their high schools. Their were many speakers and among them was his mother, Betty Hall, who said, "I want all of you to know that Bryan was doing exactly what he wanted to do."
Above the plaques of Hall and Nurre is a third plaque bearing a quote from Shakespeare's "Henry The Fifth." The playwright united them as brothers. "We few, we happy few, we band of brothers. For he today who sheds his blood with me shall be my brother," the famous line reads. We thank you for your sacrifice for us and your country. - Information from various articles in the Elk Grove Ctizen.
On the morning of September 11, 2011 Bryan and Joe where honored again during the memorial service at Elk Grove High School attended by several hundred students and teachers who were honoring those who parrished in the NYC Trade Center attack. Dan Newton, the school's activity director, said of Bryan and Joe, "We honor your memory today and we feel blessed to count you among the Herd family. You will always be forever herd."
