About Manuel was born on February 5, 1925 in Yackeytown, Arizona. At 85 years our beloved husband, father, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend was called to heaven at his home with his loved ones by his side. Manuel is survived by his devoted wife Lupe of 62 years, sons Manuel (Christina) Carl, daughters Shirley, Gerri (Debbie), Cindy and Cathy, niece Anna Marie Johnston, 12 grand children, 11 great-grand children and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother Guadalupe Moreno, sisters Anne Perez and Isabelle Orosco, niece Sandy Orosco-Stapleton, father- and mother-in-law, Jesus and Angela Bribiescas, brother-in-law Harry Bribiescas, son Gerald Felix, Sr. daughter Lorraine Felix-Brady and grandson Brian Felix. Manuel was a religious man who said his prayers daily and was an active member of St. Rose's Parrish. He served in WW II in the U.S.Marine Corps. Manuel was an athletic man during his EGHS days where he was on the track and field and football teams. He supported his children in their sporting activities. Manuel was extremely kind, loving, giving, and caring man. He had a heart of gold, who took great pride and unselfishly took care of his family and loved ones. He possessed a great sense of humor and had a special way of making everyone laugh and enjoy life. His love of music, dancing, gardening, camping, and being outdoors stayed with him until the very end. Our hearts are broken, we know you went peacefully and your love will be our guide and though we can not see you, we know you are always at our side. You will always be remembered with so much love and respect. You will be missed more than you will ever know. Manuel's family would like to thank Kaiser Hospice Care, whose staff brought immense comfort to him and his family. The family requests any donations be made to Kaiser Hospice Care at Morse Avenue, Sacramento. After the Rosary and Mass held at St.Mary's Catholic Church, a Christian/Military burial was held at St.Mary's Cemetery in Sacramento. - Sacramento Bee (March 4, 2010) and Gary Fox.
