About	Sheila passed away in the afternoon at home after a lengthy battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband Wayne C. Swart of Rescue, her son Steven D. Shook, daughter-in-law Becky Shook and granddaughters Alexandra and Gabriela, all of Sacramento. She was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Lyndell Dement. Born on March 15, 1949, graduated from EGHS, and later moved to El Dorado County where she was a long time resident working at Beverly Fabrics in Placerville. She loved her work and had great enthusiasm in helping others. She traveled the world with her military Father but always preferred to be at home. She enjoyed life and finding a good bargain. She was an avid shopper of thrift stores and yard sales and brought home many beautiful treasures in her endeavors. Her skill in cooking was unsurpassed and everyone that was fortunate to be welcome at her table would attest to that fact. Her kindness, strengths, and sense of humor will be greatly missed by all that knew her. A memorial service was held at the Shingle Springs Community Center in Shingle Springs, California. She was a Best Friend, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Companion that will be missed by all. - Sacramento Bee, January 3, 2010
