About	Robert, 68, a long time native of Elk Grove was born to F.R. and Beatrice Cound on January 8, 1941. He attended EG Grammar school and graduated from EG High School in 1958. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in anthropology from California State University, Sacramento. He was a musician, contractor, hospital inspector and electrician, and also served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1962 to 1965. His first love was music, and he played guitar, banjo, mandolin, and fiddle and was active in folk music in Sacramento. He was the grandson of Robert and Edna Cornelius and Lura Cound. Robert is survived by his sister, Winona Miles; a niece, three nephews; three great-nephews, and two great-nieces. Graveside services were held June 16, 2009 at the Cornelius plot in the Elder Creek Cemetery. - Information from the "Elk Grove Citizen" June 17, 2009
