About	Jeff's (61) death appears to be from natural causes while riding his horse in competition. He is survived by his wife Karyn and son, Blandon; loving sister Judy Mae Barmby; brother Shane Barmby and nieces, nephews and grandchildren. He was born October 25, 1947 and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Barmby, grandson of Bob and Ada Barmby, and great-grandson of William Ernest Barmby who arrived before the gold rush and was an original trustee for the Elk Grove School District. Jeff attended Sierra Enterprise Elementary and graduated from Elk Grove High School in 1965. Jeff was a very versatile young man as he played piano and sang at various events, played football and baseball, but especially excelled as a Champion Professional Rodeo Cowboy. His whole family has a history of rodeoing and are in the Rodeo Hall of Fame. He was known world wide for his abilities and friendships. Jeff was well respected, worked hard, and loved ranching. He owned and worked cattle ranches both in Sacramento and then his families 800 acre ranch in Lockford, California. Jeff always took care of his family, had a zest for life, a wonderful sense of humor, and set an example for the rest of his family. Jeff made the world a better place and will be truly missed. He was laid to rest at the Glenview Cemetery in Clements, California on May 28, 2009. - Information provided by Judy Mae Barmby
