About	Sacramento, California - Passed in peace on July 20th, 2025. Elk Grove High School 1949 graduate and devoted wife to 1949 classmate James Kane . Loving mother to Ed (Jeannie) and Roger (Kelly). Proud Grandmother to Autumn, Erin (Rachel), Kenneth (Marissa), Max, Nick. Adoring Great Grandmother to Kalia. Further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her husband James, parents Cave and Helen Kirtley, her sister Audrey and brother Lee. Opal will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving mother, a compassionate friend and a wonderful cook. Services will be held at: Herberger Family Elk Grove Funeral Chapel, 9101 Elk Grove Boulevard Elk Grove, CA.
