Lary died at his home in Redding, California at the age of 56. A fourth generation California, he was born August 3, 1951 to Walt and June Lang of Wilton. He grew up in this area, graduating from Elk Grove High School in 1969 where he was an active member of 4-H and FFA.
He was a singer, songwriter and guitarist, and, said his family, found true joy in entertaining others with his music all throughout his life.
"Lary had a huge heart and a mind of his own," they said. "He loved his family and friends more than anything and never said an unkind word against anyone. He will be truly missed by many."
