About	PERNA, Jerry Jerry was born September 17, 1948, in Sacramento, and passed away October 25, 2008, at home in Shingle Springs, CA. Jerry was preceded in death by parents Anthony and Mildred Perna. He is survived by brothers Jim (Barb), Willie, Bob (Janice), sister Judy Liebel, nieces, nephews and cousins. Jerry was a generous husband to Janis (Holm), a patient and thoughtful Dad to Pam (Dan), and Chris Nosler (Lauren). He was a big-hearted brother-in-law to Mike, Gary and Kevin Holm, and giving son-in-law to Thelma. Jerry will be missed greatly by his family and friends. Jerry graduated from Elk Grove High School in 1966, and served in the US Army in Germany during the Vietnam War. He retired in 2003 from the Franchise Tax Board after 37 years as a popular supervisor. He "worked" as a test-rider at Placerville HD and served as Road Captain for Hangtown HOG. Jerry enjoyed fishing, playing golf, and riding his Harley. A Celebration of Jerry's Life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 15, 2008, at the Elks Lodge, 3821 Quest Ct., Shingle Springs. Remembrances can be sent to Snowline Hospice, or plant a tree for a loved one.
