About	January 14, 1950 – July 29, 2023, Sacramento California. Charles (Chuck) DeHerrera passed away on July 29, 2023, at the age of 73 after a long illness surrounded by loved ones. Chuck a Sacramento native born to parents, Augustin & Rose De Herrera. He has been married in love for 54 years to his wife, Nancy. He spent 30 years working as a Senior Physical Plant Mechanic Carpenter for the University of California Davis Medical Center until his retirement. Fishing and camping were Chuck’s favorite past time. He was happiest fishing on his 21 ft. North River boat with family and friends. Chuck’s smile, sense of humor and contagious joy he brought to others will always be remembered. He is survived by his wife, Nancy, his daughter Trina, son Steve, daughter-in-law Rae-Ann, grandson Steven Jr. Siblings, Brenda, Chris, Frank, Wilbert, and Walter, lots more family, nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles and aunts. His wife, children, grandson were truly the joy of his life. Chuck had a life well lived and was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Augustin & Rose DeHerrera, brothers Elmer & Manual, sister Liz. A casual celebration of life will be held Friday, November 17, 2023, at 1 PM at East Lawn 4300 Folsom Blvd, Sacramento, California 95819.
