Elk Grove, California - Norman H. Smith, 86 years old passed away peacefully September 24, 2021 with his family by his side. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 48 years, Alyce S. Smith, and son Michael C. Smith. Norman is survived by his daughter, Jennifer L. Hayes. Devoted grandfather to Courtney Hayes, beloved brother to Theodore Smith of Clarksburg and "Uncle Norman" to many loved nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Theodore E. Smith and Velzora G. Smith. Norman had a heart for education and chaired the Art Department at Kennedy High School for most of his 36-year career with the Sacramento City School District. A resident of the Elk Grove/Wilton area for over 50 years. Family and Friends are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life on October 8, 2021 at 1:00, Creekside Landing at Haggin Oaks, 3545 Fulton Ave, Sacramento, CA 95821.
