Kevin James Whiteley, my nephew, passed away, February 1, 2021,after a brave challenge against cancer. He is survived by his wife, Sharon, daughter, Kaylynn Whiteley Gray, stepsons, Matt and Chris McKee, grandchildren, Anna and Jordan Gray, Everett McKee. Kevin was a humble man of great character, served as a young volunteer firefighter for the Elk Grove Fire District and successfully retired as a fire captain for the Cosumnes Fire District. He was so admired and loved that a street was named in his honor off Bruceville Road, Elk Grove, Kevin Whiteley Drive. Kevin loved people, good stories, farm life, hunting and a special admiration for veterans. So much more could be written about this exceptional life well lived.
