Sacramento, California - Michael J. Baptista passed away surrounded by his family on July 24, 2021. Sacramento native & Elk Grove HS graduate, he was a phenomenal baseball & softball player, loved Motown music & had the amazing ability to light up a room with his larger than life personality & warm smile. He genuinely loved people & friends quickly became family. Michael is survived by his wife, Patty Rodriquez; daughters, Monica King (Brian Jr.), Maria Soria (Ryan); grandchildren, Isaiah, Elijah, Jeremiah & Selah King, with his 5th grandbaby due in August. He is survived by his mother, Mary Barron; brothers, Donnie & John Baptista, Jr., Henry DaSilva (Maria); sisters, Brenda Garcia, Robyn Murray, Terrile Barron & Cherie Jimenez along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, John J. Baptista, Sr.
Rosary & Viewing: Tues. 8/17/21, 5-8pm Funeral: Wed. 8/18/21, 2pm
Both services at St. Mary's Cemetery & Funeral Ctr. 6509 Frutiridge Rd, Sacto.
