About	William Allen June 3, 1946 - January 21, 2021 Elk Grove, California - William (Bill) Allen passed away peacefully on January 21, 2021 after a long illness. Bill was born in Sacramento, California on June 3, 1946 to Roy F. Allen and Harriot A. (Savage) Allen. Bill lived in Elk Grove the majority of his life and was a fifth generation Californian. Bill graduated from Elk Grove High School, class of 1964. He attended Sacramento City College and graduated from Westmar College in Le Mars, Iowa. Bill was a biologist for Sacramento County for over 30 years. He was a long time member of Point Pleasant United Methodist Church. Bill is survived by his wife of 53 years Carol (Walker), his son Brian, his daughter Cindy Burnett (Jeff), his granddaughter Mae Burnett, his brothers John David (Linda), Robert, Michael, and his sisters Joanne Rollins (David) and Patty Allen. He was predeceased by his brother Stephen and his parents. An outdoor memorial service will be held on February 13, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Point Pleasant United Methodist Church, 3329 Point Pleasant Road, Elk Grove, CA 95757. Donations may be made in Bill's name to Point Pleasant United Methodist Church designated for the Community Garden Fund. - Information from the Sacramento Bee
