About	Betty Virgen March 19, 1938 - January 18, 2021 Sacramento, California - Born in Texas to George and Lavina Belle Wells Betty moved to California as a child. She graduated from Elk Grove High School and CSUS. She married the love of her life, Art "Babe" Virgen, and together they had a wonderful time owning and operating Art & Betty's Deli. She loved baking and cooking and she won dozens of recipe contests. She is survived by her daughter Cindy Booth, her grandson Josh Bettencourt (Jamie), her granddaughter Sharon Velden (Nathan), her loving great grandchildren Cameron, Saphera, Karl, Steve, and Victor, and many family and friends. She spent her last days at her home in Sacramento being loved and comforted by family. A viewing and rosary will be held at Saint Paul's Catholic Church at 10am on Thursday, Jan 28, 2021, followed by mass at 11am. - Information from the Sacramento Bee
