About	Benjamin Daniel Campbell, 78, a longtime Galt business owner of Hay Hay Hay Dan Campbell’s Hay, passed from natural causes on Oct. 13, 2020. He was born on Nov. 15, 1941 in Yerington, Nevada to Benjamin and Betty Campbell. While attending Elk Grove High School ('59), he started working in the hay business with his cousin Jean Cecini and her husband Vince. By the time he was 18, he owned his own hay truck. He married Wanda “Sue” Carlson in 1959, and they had four children. In 1972, Dan met the love of his life, Gladys Dove. They worked together in their hay business for over 48 years. Dan was an avid Hunter and fisherman, known for his jokes and storytelling. He belonged to several local clubs and generously donated hay to many Galt and county events throughout the years. Preceding Dan in death were his parents, Ben and Betty Campbell, stepmother Mary Campbell and brother Rod Campbell. Dan is survived by his wife Gladys Campbell; children Cheryl Campbell, Janice Vassaur, Kerry Cox and Brien Campbell; stepdaughters Judy Nelson and Lavon Dove; siblings Carol Boatright and Bobby Campbell; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Dan never went anywhere without his cowboy hat. All who knew him will miss his quick wit and jokes. At Dan's request , no funeral services will be held. - Information from the Galt Herald
