About	Born on June 15, 1952 in Sacramento, CA. Went home to his Heavenly Father on July 4, 1995, at home after a long and courageous struggle with cancer. Beloved and cherished husband of Nina, devoted father of Jason, Aaron, Elizabeth, Benjamin and Daniel and doting grandfather of Andrew. Son of Mary Downing and the late Ronald Lee Haskett, Sr. Brother of Janice Haskett, Ron Haskett, Jr., Rex Haskett, Rayan Reich, Sandra Hussein, Vicki Coolidge, Sharon Mitchell and Bill Downing. Grandson of Ruby Long. Son-in-law of Mary and Sol Gall. Stepson of Rachel Haskett. He will be very sadly missed by his extended family and his many friends. Ron was very much a family man, and took great pride and joy in his children and grandchild. He enjoyed camping, hiking, scuba diving and golf. He served in the U.S, Coast Guard for 12 years, and while stationed in New Orleans, LA, was ordained as a minister of God’s Holy Word by the Greater New Orleans Baptist Church. He served the Lord as a missionary to visiting foreign seamen at the Baptist Seaman’s Ministry in New Orleans, LA , for three years, before relocating to Sacramento upon his discharge from the Coast Guard. - Information from the Sacramento Bee
