About	Facebook Post: It is with great sadness that I share the news of my sister, Carol’s passing this past Friday. Her husband, Jim, took her to the ER 11:00 p.m. with lower body pain, unable to sit or walk. Thanksgiving evening, after testing and being diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, she was transported to Sutter General where she passed away Friday at 9:15 p.m. A total shock to us all - 24 hours later. Doctors stated she may have had this “very fast growing” leukemia for awhile and didn’t know she had it. I am so thankful she did not suffer the pain of enduring the horrible treatment for this disease. She was my ‘big sis’, always there no matter what the need. I can’t tell you have many times she would go to our house just to check if I’d unplugged/turned off a curling iron or iron. She spent the majority of her career as a Diabetic Care Nurse/Educator. Something she was very passionate about. After retiring a couple of years ago, she found a passion in Nose Work Training with dogs. Always loved the name of her business: Happy Sniffers Nosework She would light up when she talked about the many trials she’d participated in with her own dogs and was a huge encourgement to those who attended her training sessions. She is home with our dad, mom and several other family members free from pain. I will miss her dearly - always and forever in my heart. I love you ‘sis’ - Verna
