About Trista Elizabeth Johnson born in Encinitas, CA on August 3, 1973, passed away October 17, 2018. Trista was a devoted mother, loving daughter, sister, attentive spouse, and loyal friend. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sandy. Survived by her children, Bailey and Logan Camp; stepchildren, Alexandrea and Robert Sams; father, Tom and stepmother, Debbie; her brothers, Tom and Jim; sisters- in-law, Rhonda and Debbie Johnson; nieces, Tayler, Ashley, and Audrey; stepsisters, Melissa and Rachel, and their families; numerous aunties, uncles and cousins. Trista was the only daughter in the household with two older brothers, her heroes. "They can do anything." She graduated from Elk Grove High School in 1991, and started to work for Household Financial when she was just 18 years old, starting out as an Administrator and eventually working her way to becoming a Branch Sales Manager. Trista married her high school sweetheart Brian Camp, and they started a family, first with Bailey and then 3 years later with Logan. Trista was able to juggle a very successful career and being hands on mom, enjoying every sporting event and activity her kids participated in. She was often found on the sidelines of the Cosumnes Oaks Football games working the chains. Elk Grove Piranhas were a big part of her life, first she and her brother Jim swam on the team, and then she met her second husband, Mark Sams, as their children swam for the team. They were married and she was blessed with two more children, Alexandrea and Robert Sams. Trista was an avid and skilled photographer and quad rider; she loved the camping/quad riding trips to Pismo and Sand Mountain. Trista snow boarded in Colorado, sky-dived in Lodi, and was a certified scuba diver; she just recently went diving in Hawaii. Trista loved country music, especially Martina McBride. Trista had a beautiful voice and would sing for her children as she tucked them into bed. Trista will be missed by all who had the opportunity to know and love her. - Information from the Sacramento Bee
