About	It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Charlotte Hoffman, born on November 19, 1942 and peacefully passing away surrounded by family on September 4,2018. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents Iris Mello and Clifford Coy, baby brother Tommy Coy, step father Raymond Mello, first husband Robert C. Francis and second husband Henry (Joe) Joseph Hoffman, nephews Kyle Glantz, Dane Glantz and Bobby Coy. She is survived by daughter Lori Hager (Marty), son Brad Francis (Wendy), granddaughters Hailey Ann Hager and Lyndsey Hager, sister Carol Glantz (Orlan), sister Cindy Bennett, brother Robert Coy (Phyllis), as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Charlotte was born 75 years ago in Sacramento, California and grew up in Elk Grove where she attended Dillard Elementary School, Elk Grove Elementary School and graduated from Elk Grove High School, Class of 1960, where she was awarded best female athlete. She was quite the sports fan. She bowled on many bowling leagues with her mother Iris and sister Carol as well. She loved baseball, going to many Oakland A’s games over the years and also loved basketball and was a HUGE fan of the Sacramento Kings and Monarchs, rarely missing any games. She was always known for being the perfect hostess, she was the Martha Stewart of our family, hosting many family holidays and events with great food and gifts for everyone. But most of all she was known for her kindness, generosity and huge heart. She loved her family more than words can tell, her love for her mother was exemplary, which made her the best mom ever and was always there for her kids no matter what. She was also crazy about her granddaughters. Charlotte will truly be missed and will remain in our hearts and memories forever! A memorial service for Charlotte will be held on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Elk Grove Pavilion on 9950 Elk Grove-Florin Road, Elk Grove, California. - Information from the Elk Grove Citizen
