About	Michael Edward Panell, 57, of Rancho Cordova, passed away July 31, 2018. He was born to Mary and Gerald Panell Sept. 2, 1961, in Sacramento, California. Michael graduated from Elk Grove High School and worked as a Sacramento County Union Painter for 35 years. He also graduated from culinary school in 2002. He was an avid golfer and spent most of his downtime with friends and family. He loved the Raiders, spending time with his two best friends Rob and Sonny, fishing, his dogs Taz and Trixie and cooking for those he loved. He helped organize family get togethers, and often planned the meals. Michael was passionate about helping troubled family and took his niece and nephews into his home, provided them food, shelter and also gave great advice and counsel. Michael is survived by his mother, Mary Dalzell; his nephews, Benjamin Panell of Sacramento, Brandon Panell of Sacramento, Nathan Panell of Sacramento, Travis Panell of Placerville, Jason Panell of Clear Lake; his brother, Gerald Jr. of Clear Lake; and his many great nephews and nieces as well as his two dogs. A memorial will be announced in the near future. Instead of flowers the family requests donations be given to the Sacramento SPCA or to a local charity of your choice in his name. - Information from the Sacramento Bee
