About	James Barrett Scott, of Pioneer, CA, passed away at his home, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at the age of 57. He was born in San Jose, CA on May 20, 1960 to Paul E. and Barbara Barrett Scott. Jim moved with his family to Elk Grove in 1971. While he attended school, he enjoyed sports and participated in little league baseball and youth soccer. Jim had a varied career as a tow truck driver, a long haul trucker, and a railroad signal repairman. He is survived by his loving mother, Barbara Scott, of Pioneer, CA; sister, Patti Fredericks, and her husband Dave, of Pioneer, CA; nephew, Jacob Fredericks, of Pioneer, CA; and niece, Lindsay Legler, of Eugene, OR. He was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy. At the family's request, services will be privately held. Jim will be interred at Colusa Community Cemetery in Colusa, CA. Donations in his name may be made to Hospice of Amador and Calaveras Counties at P.O. Box 595, Jackson, CA 95642.
