About	Rita Louise Johnson was born on May 21, 1956 at Clarke Air Force Base Pampanga, Philippines to father Roger LaRue Johnson and mother Laura Andrade Johnson. She grew up in a large military family with three brothers and a sister. Rita was talented both academically and creatively, and shined as a piano player throughput her adolescence. Rita went on to graduate from Elk Grove High school in 1974 meritoriously with honors. In college she excelled in all things related to science and medicine and she graduated from California State University, Sacramento, with a Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing. After receiving her degree, Rita began her nursing career in 1979. She moved to San Francisco and accepted a position with Kaiser Permanente. While in San Francisco, Rita developed a passion for working Labor and Delivery and specifically in helping with high risk pregnancies. This same passion showed in her love for her two daughters. In 1996, Rita decided to move back to Sacramento to raiser her girls closer to family, and her nursing career continued with Kaiser as a Call center Advice Nurse. Rita's impressive and dedicated career as a nurse spanned a total of 38 years, but working with infants and children always brought her joy. Rita was a loving, humorous, light of positivity with a passion for family, children, and dogs. One of Rita's greatest joys was becoming a grandmother, lovingly referred to as "Nita," even going so far as assisting in the deliveries of her grandsons. When diagnosed with advanced and aggressive cancer a few short weeks before her passing, she remained dedicated in her faith and in her will to fight the illness. She was brave beautiful and kind-hearted even during the final days. She passed on Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018, in her home in Elk Grove, California, at the age of 61, surrounded by her family. Rita will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Amanda and Samantha, her son-in-laws Ben and Mike, her grandsons Dean and Myles, and her dogs Leo and Coco. Rits is also survived by her siblings Roy, Rose, Ron, and Rueben,as well as their spouses, and many nieces and nephews. Rita's parents Roger and Laura Johnson preceded her in death. Rita, Rosie,Roy,Ron,and Rueben, all attend our church. Being a young normal American male of 12 or 13, I was in love with Both Rita And Rosie, who were both out of my league. Still I couldn't wait for Sundays and special church functions as they were the center of my fantasy world. They were smart and beautiful and they new my name.Rita was an exceptionally gifted person with kind heart ❤the world is a worse place with her not in it. RIP Rita
