Tulsa police and firefighters are shown at the fatality wreck Saturday night. TULSA, Oklahoma -- A flat tire on a motorcycle led to a fatal chain of events for two people Saturday night on the Broken Arrow Expressway at 129th. Tulsa Police Sergeant Robert Rohloff said the male rider and his female passenger were westbound just before 9:30 p.m. when the rear tire of the large-frame Harley Davidson motorcycle went flat. "Both the rider and his passenger were ejected from the motorcycle," Rohloff said. "Subsequently at least one of them was struck by another vehicle in the inside lane." The driver of the white Jeep that came onto the scene as the victims fell into the inside lane faces no charges. Friends of the victims who arrived on scene told The News On 6 that the driver of the motorcycle was a very experienced rider and a U.S. Veteran who was giving the woman a ride home at the request of her husband. Crews shut down the westbound lanes starting at 145th as officers and Tulsa firefighters worked the accident scene. The names of the victims have not yet been released. Police estimated that the crash victims were in their mid-50s to early 60s. Sincerly, Shannon L. Mastro - Daughter of Albert Leslie "Sugar" Winter, Jr. Ret. Marine
