| About Me | Changes: During about the last 5 years, I've had 4 surgeries - Cataract surgery on one eye. A total knee- replacement, an extraction of that knee, due to a Staph- infection, coupled with getting a temporary knee, for 3 1/2 months, then another total knee-replacement; and in Jan, 2021, I had rotator-cuff surgery. Probably, needless to say, but those surgeries side-lined me from my daily activities. With the knee surgeries, it was difficult to get out of the house, because I had to do rehab, 3x each day, for about an hour, each time. Additionally, there were alot of post-surgery visits, and physical therapy visits at the hospital. That left very little time for anything else. For the 3 1/2 months, with my temporary knee, I had to use a walker, to get around. After the final knee-surgery, I again went thru the routine of rehab at home, post-op hospital visits and P.T., at the hospital. And then, the rotator-cuff surgery. Again, the rehab and the post-op hospital visits. Besides that, if you've have that surgery, you know it's very difficult to attempt a normal, daily routine, because you basically have only one hand that you can use. Not done yet -- We've been planning to move to Reno, for some years, but finally decided to do it, last year. However, the move seemed delayed, because of my, then recent surgery. I was not supposed to life over 5 lbs., for 4-6 months. Don't tell the Dr., that I cheated. Unexpectedly, someone stopped at our house, in Feb., 2021, while I was out taking pictures of the house, and asked whether I was planning to sell the house. Short story - even with my rehab not completed, we decided to sell the house, before my rehab was completed, while the market was high; and moved to Reno, in mid May. The packing and getting ready for the move, took up 100% of my time, but also substituted for my rehab. Getting settled into our new house, took a few months, as I had to work slowly, unpacking, etc. I hope to see you all, at a reunion, or maybe, for those living in, or near, Reno, maybe we'll meet sooner. It would be a hoot to meet one of you (Class of '65), on the road, during our travels. Just look for an Allegro Open Road, dark multi-colored RV, with out-of-State plates.
