Rick gave me the most memorable moment in baseball I still talk about and I’m sure I’m not the only one. It was the last game of the season and the iv team was playing Analy. There were runners on first and third and Rick was up to bat. He hit a pop fly to right field. The fielder misses the ball and Rick takes off like a rocket. The running on first going to second, Mike, was kinda taking his time. Rick tagged first and rounded off heading for second. Apparently he didn’t see Mike and passed him up. The coach was yelling for Rick not to tag up and for Mike to stop him. It now became a game of tag with Mike catching Rick at the last second. Rick jumped over the plate and turned to run home. Now the right fielder was standing there shocked in place. The pitcher ran out to him and grabbed for the ball which caused the fielder to drop the ball. Rick tagged up on first and was safe. The umpire was doubled over laughing. Analy coach lost his mind. Funniest thing I’ve ever seen in baseball. Sorry you’re gone too soon. Margie
