About Me | I am blessed beyond measure and so grateful to know The One who is The Great Giver of all good things. Life's lumps are easier to take knowing nothing catches Him by surprise. He has it all covered and my worrying and fretting is pointless. I am married to my very own Prince Charming. Being a wife and mother is the joy of my life. I cannot imagine any different or better life than being a daughter of The King, wife to my fabulous husband and luckiest mom in the universe to 3 awesome boys. I stay busy working at home keeping up with our house full of activity and watching little Sayer discover every aspect of life. 8 years ago,we blended our family and God has blessed us indeed. Through all of those adjustments,we have come to this place of peace and happiness that can only be described as DESTINY. It seems as though we've always been meant to share this love and this treasure called our life. We have 3 boys at home full time,1 at college and 1 who has graduated college and is now married. About a year ago we welcomed our littlest baby boy Sayer. We had been on the adoption journey for two years. We had been on the path for a little girl from Ethiopia and that just wasn't meant to be. Its been such an amazing experience to see Gods plan unfold and see how perfectly that plan was set in motion and came to be so perfectly and the perfect time and with the perfect baby for us. We are so grateful that God moved our hearts to walk through this adoption door. We have so much to look forward to as we watch him grow up surrounded by the love that we all have for him. As Ricky makes college plans for next fall and Zack is settling into high school, I am at a loss for how to convey my gratitude to My Awesome God for all of the ways He has blessed me indeed. We have so much to be thankful for and our hearts are simply overflowing with praise! ~Some of my very favorite things~ Sunlight on the Water, Summer Evenings, Moonlit Winter Nights, The smell of fresh cut grass, Burning leaves, Mountains, Babies, Nite Nite kisses, Merry Go Rounds, County Fairs, Laughter, Flip Flops, Making Pictures out of clouds, Church Bells, Christmas Carols, Boat Rides, Sunday Morning, Date Nights, Birthday Wishes, Sweet memories( bittersweet ones too, they help keep life in perspective), Lessons learned, New stones unturned, Adventure, A great hike, Home sweet Home, My husbands embrace. I love life and all of the fullness it brings. I can look back throughout my life and see alot of sadness and alot of pain and alot of dissappointment, and then I can see how God has delivered me from it and set me in this place of complete contentment. He has blessed me with eyes to see the difference that He alone can make in life. He makes sense of nonsense and He makes beauty from ashes. He is the captain of my heart and I love Him more everyday. ~My Heroes~ ~Jesus Christ is the Hero of Heros. What He came to do, what He endured and conquered and how He loved me even then... and loves me still today. He empowers me to be more than I am on my own.~ ~My husband is the a great example of what every man should be. He is a strong and loving father who knows he isnt perfect, but wants to be. He is the kindest person I have ever known. He is loving and patient and fair. He is funny and silly and totally responsible. He loves The Lord and knows he is only half a man without HIM. I can rely on him in any circumstance. He is my husband,my hero, my life. He is the dream God planted in my heart as a little girl... and then delivered to me after I experienced enough of life to know how to recognize and appreciate the true gift he is. ~My children dont know it yet, but one day they will realize the heroes they already are. The way they care for others and recognize the needs of others. The way they are tuned in to others people's feelings. These boys that God blessed me with continue to show me everyday God's handy work in all areas of my life. The wonderful people they are growing into and the joyful delight they have brought to my life for 18 years now, is God's doing. If left to my own leading....It would not be as pretty a picture. Thank You God for loving me the way only You can and for displaying that love to me through all of the blessing in my life..... My children, My husband, My health and the ability you have given me to recognize WHO it all comes from and why. You lo...(read more) |
