About Me	After graduation I worked a bit and then returned to school at SF City College. Left college and joined the Marine Corps. I was honorably separated from active duty in 1970. Returned to college (CSM) as an Administration of Justice Major and after getting an AA Degree I changed major to Business Management/Labor Relations (attended classes at Skyline, George Meany Center for Labor Studies Silver springs Maryland, UC Berk’ and USF. While in school I did some work in the security field providing services for several recording artist which included The Jackson 5, George Harrison, Elton John and James Brown. I also was employed as a police officer. Took what was supposed to be a break from police work and worked in manufacturing where I worked with some EC Alumni (Martin Delucci 65, Ron Licardo 66 and Brad Fuss 67,) I got involved with organized labor, became the Secretary Treasure of a local union and a delegate to 2 separate San Francisco Bay Area AF of L - CIO labor Councils. I performed “contract work” in various capacities such as Organizer and Business Representative. The organization served 5,000 members of employed in Northern California’s unionized printing industry. My final position had me sitting on the executive Board of a multi-state labor organization serving 15,000 members in 6 states. After a few years of doing that I then accepted a “management offer” from a Fortune 100 Corp and worked with that employer until my retirement in 2007. My management positions included Supervisor, Dept. Head, Shift superintendent, Quality assurance Manager, and Facility’s Director of Human Resources. Upon retirement I became involved with veterans’ orgs.. Prior to deciding to focus my efforts in another area I was the Commandant of the Marine Corps League’s Gen. J. C. Breckinridge San Francisco Detachment # 10 for 6 years and was able to coordinate various "League" related concerns with another EC alum who was at the time the Commandant the Santa Rosa Detachment (Jim Loorya Class of 65). For the past 5 years I have been Vice President of the Marine Corps Coordinating Council of Northern California. In that capacity I frequently coordinate in areas of mutual interest with United Stated Marine Corps active duty and reserved units in Northern Calif as well as various Marine Corps related veterans' groups. I have also served in the following capacities: member of the board of directors of the Marine Corps Vietnam Tankers’ Association since 2012, a member of the financial committee of the Young Men’s Institute Council #32 in So. San Francisco since 2014 (where I often see EC 65 grad John Proudy and prior top his passing once enjoyed the company of the late Bill strong EC Clsaa of 66)..In addition I’m a longtime committee member member of the Avenue of the Flags Committee at Golden Gate National Cemetery and as of 2020 I presently serve as the Marine Corps League Department of California's Chief of Staff.
