| About Me | I'm married to Bill Bacon and have four beautiful step-daughters: Emily 28, Martha 27, Abby 24, and Lily 22. It's been . . . interesting. Let's just say a number of years ago the casting director of "Trading Spouses" begged us--BEGGED US--to be on the show . . . and we'll just leave it at that. Did the whole breast cancer thing nine month after our wedding. Now that was cool. I try to approach everything as an adventure. That would be one of those places you only want to go once. Also I seem to fall on my face a lot. Bill got me a 20-speed so we could spend more time together. Someone needs to come up with disposable bike frames. I adopted a fearless Sh[a]t zu (had to edit for publishing) whom the rescue site claimed was house trained. Not so much. At least it's often in the bathroom (must think the river rock is outside). The Italian rescuer named him Grande Piccolo Magoo ("Grande" because she overfed him) I call him "Mister". He doesn't have eyes. If you're wondering (as I've been asked on occasion) if he's totally blind--well--he doesn't have eyes, so . . . . Last year we went on a Christian medical/dental mission to the Philippines: Bill single-handedly saw 150 patients in two 6-hour days. I'm a dental hygienist and worked with a translator named "Bing" in patient education. Bill is going again in February but I won't be accompanying him (apparently they just want adults this time . . . and I'm like . . . 15). Took five courses at Harvard Extension School (they've had one for a hundred years--who knew?). Attended some classes on campus--just for the ambiance. (Had to prove to myself MR. PATTERSON WAS WRONG WHEN HE TOLD MY PARENTS: SHE'LL NEVER GO ANYWHERE--SHE JUST DOESN'T WHAT IT TAKES)! Discovered I'm somewhat of an "incompetence magnet". They seem to be drawn to me for some reason. Must just know how to pick 'em. Our home is in a terminal state of [dis]repair. After installing my dream bath I discovered we might as well tear down the rest of the house around it--but it's on the second floor. Man who lived here before us was married a couple of weeks when his bride up and vanished--that was in '91. She's still listed as missing. Car, purse, keys--all left in the driveway. Neighborhood consensus is he "did it" The postman said he had a boat named "Probable Cause"--go figure. First time Edmond's "finest" put a psychic on a case. But . . .
